Andreas Laib was born on January 5th, 1972 in Worms. After graduating from high school at Friedrich-List-Gymnasium, he completed vocational training as an industrial clerk at the John Deere Werke Mannheim.
He then studied sports science at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg with a master’s degree. He started his professional career as an employee in the marketing department of SV Waldhof Mannheim Spielbetriebs GmbH. From 2004 to 2015, Laib was managing director at SV Waldhof Mannheim e.V.
From 2015 to 2019, Laib worked as a consultant in the football industry, among others for COMARO Transfairrechteverwertungsgesellschaft mbH. In January 2020 he founded together with Dr. Martin Gutfleisch and Dr. Richard Leys the HyPrint GmbH based in Heidelberg, where he acts as managing director of finance / business development
Andreas Laib came to rowing through swimming, won several medals at the German championships, took part in 3 world championships and became world champion in lightweight eight in 1998.
